Motorcycle Crash Victim's Condition Upgraded to 'Fair'

Butler woman remains at Morristown Medical Center following Sunday crash that killed husband.

Kathleen Fairlamb, wife of Preston Fairlamb Jr. who , is now in "fair condition" according to a Morristown Medical Center spokesman.

Fairlamb's condition was upgraded from being in "serious condition" Monday.

The Fairlambs, of , were involved in an accident on Route 94 in Hardyston Sunday when the 2001 Harley Davidson they were riding was struck by a vehicle being driven by Kenneth Arent, 55, of Vernon. Arent, who was also transported to Morristown Medical Center Sunday, remains in "good condition" Tuesday, according to the hospital spokesman.

Preston Fairlamb Jr., 64, a , was pronounced dead at St. Clare's Hospital in Sussex.

Sgt. Brian Polite of the New Jersey State Police said Tuesday Preston Fairlamb had been a state trooper for 28 years before retiring as a lieutenant in 2002. He primarly worked in Troop B, which covers northern New Jersey.
