Bottle Turned Pot Smoking Device Leads to Two Arrests

Police said marijuana, paraphernalia found in vehicle of Kinnelon man.

Twenty-year-old Jaxon M. Solomon, of , and 20-year-old Rebecca E. Sendewicz, of Wayne, were charged with marijuana possession after they were arrested on Cutlass Road in Kinnelon on June 2.

said Solomon was driving a 2002 Mercury when the car was stopped for having a tail light out. Upon speaking with Solomon and the car’s passenger, Sendewicz, police said Ptl. Mark Ehrenberg smelled a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. Ehrenburg also allegedly observed marijuana on Sendewicz’s lap.

Sendewicz and Solomon were asked to exit the car so it could be searched. During the investigation, police said they found a Mountain Dew soda bottle that was modified to be used to smoke marijuana, a marijuana pipe and a digital scale. Both were arrested and transported to the Kinnelon police station.

Solomon was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a drug paraphernalia and was issued summonses for possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) in a motor vehicle and failure to maintain lamps. Sendewicz was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were released with dates to appear in court.
