Oak Ridge Man Charged With Marijuana Possession
The following arrest information was supplied by the Kinnelon Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A 24-year-old Oak Ridge man was arrested in Tuesday on marijuana possession charges after said they allegedly found a bag of marijuana in the center console of his vehicle.
Christopher L. Delaurier was stopped while driving a 1997 Buick on Route 23 North at 11:55 p.m. for allegedly having inoperable taillights and because police said he was swerving in his lane of traffic. Police said while speaking to Delaurier, Ptl. Mark Ehrenburg allegedly smelled a strong odor of burnt marijuana and upon further questioning him, Delaurier allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana at a friend’s house and gave Ehrenburg permission to search his vehicle. Police said at that time, the marijuana was found.
Delaurier was arrested and transported to the Kinnelon police station. In addition to the marijuana possession charges, he was also issued motor vehicle summonses for having a broken taillight, failure to maintain a lane and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
