Police Arrest Woman With 121 Pills

Man arrested at Meadtown Shopping Center on marijuana possession charges.

A Highland Lakes woman  was arrested Tuesday after they said she was allegedly found to be in possession of 121 pills in Kinnelon.

said they found 23 Alprazolam and 14 Lorazepam, two pills commonly used for anxiety, inside a vegetable extract bottle inside Megan Greers’, 25, vehicle, as well as 26 Alprazolam and 58 Lorazepam pills inside her vehicle’s center console. Greers was charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence.

Police said they originally stopped Greers’ vehicle on the off ramp of Route 23 onto Kinnelon Road as part of a Click It or Ticket inspection when Ptl. Chris Mucci noticed her apparently not wearing her seatbelt. Upon investigation, police said Ptl. Mucci noticed Greers allegedly having glazed eyes and appearing nervous.

As Ptl. Mucci processed Greers’ information in his own car, police said he noticed her moving around inside her car, and when Ptl. Mucci approached Greers’ car window, he apparently saw her pour pills from a bottle into the center console of her vehicle.

Greers then proceeded to allegedly tell police that the pills, which she said were Xanax, were her ex-boyfriends. Police said Greers denied pouring the pills out.

In addition to the drug charges, Greers was issued summonses for failing to wear a seatbelt and for having a cracked windshield. She was released with a ticket to appear in court at a later date.

Also from the Kinnelon Police Department

Kevin Sheehan, 35, of , was arrested on Tuesday on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was also issued summonses for failing to make repairs to his vehicle, failing to exhibit documents and failure to inspect his vehicle.

Police said Sheehan was stopped by Ptl. Mark Ehrenburg in the Meadtown Shopping Center for allegedly having an overdue inspection sticker.

Upon investigation, police said Ptl. Ehrenburg smelled alcohol coming from inside the vehicle, at which time Sheehan allegedly admitted to having a bag of marijuana and pipe inside his van.

Police said Sheehan was removed from the van and the items were recovered from his center console. Sheehan was arrested and transported to the police station, where he was later released with a ticket to appear in court at a later date.
