Police: Drunk Man Was Walking Down Middle of Main Street

Woman arrested on heroin possession charges after disorderly persons report was filed.

arrested a 28-year-old man Friday who was allegedly intoxicated and yelling at cars as he walked down the middle of the road on Main Street around 8:15 p.m.

Frank Carlson was charged with a borough ordinance for possession of alcohol on public property.

Police said Ptl. David Terpstra located Carlson and he allegedly showed signs of intoxication and was in possession of a bottle of partially consumed alcohol. Carlson was arrested and transported to the Bloomingdale police station. He was later released with a date to appear in court.

  • Amber Nett, 22, of , was arrested on charges of possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic syringes after police said she allegedly exhibited signs of drug use Thursday and was found to be in possession of several small bags of suspected heroin, syringes, and items used to ingest Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS). Police responded to a Hillside Drive residence for a disorderly persons report when they were met with Nett around 9:43 p.m. Nett was arrested and transported to the Bloomingdale police station, where police said she was unable to post bail and was sent to the Passaic County jail.
  • Erik Kratsch, 26, of Haskell, was arrested on DWI charges on Saturday after police stopped the vehicle he was driving on Main Street at about 2:17 a.m. Police said Kratzsch allegedly displayed signs of intoxication and was arrested and transported to the Bloomingdale police station. In addition to DWI, he was charged with failure to keep right and several violations. Police said he was released to the custody of a friend with a date to appear in court and his vehicle was impounded.
  • Police responded to a two-car accident on upper Glenwild Avenue on May 14 in which one of the drivers was allegedly found to be driving while intoxicated. Police responded around 10:44 p.m., at which time police said both drivers allegedly showed signs of injury but only one driver, Michael Demboski, 30, of West Milford, needed to be transported to Chilton Hospital by after suffering head injuries. Police said before he was transported, Demboski allegedly showed signs of intoxication. He was charged with DWI, driving with a suspended driver's license, careless driving and issued several motor vehicle violations. He was served with the summonses on May 24.
