UPDATE: Police: Swastika Drawn on Bloomingdale Post Office

Bloomingdale police also investigate apparent motor vehicle burglary.

are investigating a criminal mischief incident where Sgt. Ron Frost noticed Wednesday shortly after 3 p.m., that a swastika had been drawn on the exterior wall of the Bloomingdale Post Office.

Frost said Tuesday police believe that the swastika was drawn at some point last week. The detective unit is pursuing its investigation.

An employee of a Glenwild Avenue business, Butler Foreign Auto, reported a vehicle had been stolen from its garage after an unknown actor or actors allegedly broke into a fenced-in area to access the garage. The report was filed on Aug. 27 at about 4 p.m.

A 23-year-old Oakland woman was charged with DWI and careless driving after she was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Hamburg Turnpike on Aug. 27.

Nicole Rodriguez was driving when she left the roadway and struck a guardrail. Police said she showed signs of intoxication and was arrested. She was transported to the Bloomingdale police station and later issued a ticket to appear in court at a later date. Her vehicle was impounded.
