Police Investigating Bloomingdale Break-In

Bedroom drawers, closets were entered, police said.

are investigating an apparent residential break-in on Fichter Street, in Bloomingdale, that was reported at 6:57 p.m. on Tuesday where bedroom drawers and closets appear to have been entered and the contents spread across the room.

Police said the homeowner filed the report and said that sometime during the day, an unknown person or persons entered the home. Police also found broken glass near the back door in the kitchen, which they believe to be where the person or persons entered the home.

Bloomingdale Police Det./Sgt. Steve Caputo responded and will be handling the investigation.

Police transported 19-year-old Cameron Walek, of Butler, to the Bloomingdale police station Tuesday at 2:14 a.m. after he was allegedly found in a parking lot near several unoccupied vehicles under the influence of alcohol.

Under a borough ordinance, Walek was charged with underage consumption of alcohol and transported to headquarters. He was later released to a family member with a ticket to appear in court at a later date.
