Police Investigating Possible Burglary

Resident told police cable television wires were disconnected.

are investigating a possible burglary attempt on Clark Street where a resident reported suspicious activity in their home.

Police responded to the home at 6:04 p.m. on Thursday where a resident of the home reported a suspicious incident and said that the cable wires to their television in the living room were disconnected. Police said nothing was removed from the home and that no signs of entry were shown.

Larry Vansplinter, 50, of Dingmans Ferry, PA, was arrested in Bloomingdale after police discovered several outstanding warrants from multiple jurisdictions. Police said he was stopped while drving on Union Avenue at 10:55 p.m. on Friday. He was transported to the Bloomingdale police station where he was able to post bail and was released with a ticket to appear in court at a later date.

George Walsh, 21, of Pompton Plains, was arrested on an outstanding warrant Saturday after the driver of the vehicle he was riding in was involved in a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Main Street and Union Avenue. Police said they discovered Walsh to have a warrant out for his arrest out of Paterson. Walsh was transported to the police station and was able to post bail. He was released with a ticket to appear in court at a later date.
