Police: Smoke Rise Service Station Broken Into

Police are seek information on weekend incident.

are investigating a reported burglary of the Smoke Rise Service Station on Monday.

According to police, the owner of the business called at 8:39 a.m., and reported the station had been broken into sometime over the weekend. Entry was gained by breaking a window in the lower office, police said.

Police said it appeared as though the office had been gone through, but no money was taken since its not kept in the station after hours.

The Morris County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Unit responded and took photos at the scene although the investigation is being spearheaded by the Kinnelon Police Department Detective Bureau.
