Man Allegedly Found Overdosed on Heroin in Parking Lot

Butler police said they found a man in a drug-induced state in a parking lot on Route 23.

A 21-year-old Hewitt man was arrested Monday after police said he apparently overdosed on drugs in his vehicle in the Applebee’s parking lot on Route 23.

Kenneth Sushko was charged with unlawful possession of hypodermic syringes.

said the passenger of the vehicle told officers Sushko had recently injected heroin into himself and that he was acting “stranger than usual.” Police said they observed Sushko in an apparent drug-induced state.

While police were providing first aid on Sushko, they allegedly found two hypodermic needles on him. Sushko was transported to Chilton Memorial Hospital and was released in his own recognizance to hospital authorities.

A Vernon man was arrested in Butler Tuesday after police said he was allegedly discovered to be hiding marijuana down his pants after being in a minor collision.

The man, James Robbins, 41, was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana.

The Butler Police Department received a report of the minor accident in the 7-Eleven parking lot on Route 23 North around 1:41 p.m. When police arrived at the scene, they said they smelled marijuana coming from Robbins’ person.

After an investigation, police said they found the marijuana in his pants. He was arrested and transported to the police station.
