Police: Man Suffering From Medical Episode Believed He Was Being Chased

Butler police located the man in a business near the Argonne Woods development.

With help from the Morris County Sheriff's Office canine unit, located a 26-year-old Ramsey resident apparently suffering from a medical episode who had reportedly told a resident at the Argonne Woods development Monday night that he was being chased, police said Tuesday.

Police said they found the man, whose name was not released, in a business near the development complex after he had fled the scene where he had allegedly been asking residents for help around 9:30 p.m.

In addition to Butler, and Riverdale police responding to the scene, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office canine unit also arrived to locate the man.

Police said an investigation proved that the man’s welfare was not in jeopardy. He was transported to Valley Hospital.
