Cops: Mother, Daughter on Drugs at Barber Shop

One woman charged with being under the influence of drugs while another was arrested on a warrant.

A woman and her daughter were arrested at in Butler Tuesday after police said she had apparently overdosed on drugs and her daughter, who called police, had a warrant for her arrest out of Riverdale totaling $115.

Patricia Levee, 53, was charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe. Alicia Levee, 28, of Newark, was charged with being under the influence of controlled dangerous substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police responded to the scene at about 11:40 a.m. after Alicia reported that her mother was found to be in a semi-conscious state of mind when she entered the business. When they arrived, police said Patricia seemed to be recovering from an apparent drug overdose that may have occurred moments before police arrived.

After an investigation, police said they found Patricia to be in possession of a hypodermic syringe and other drug paraphernalia and also discovered the warrant for Alicia’s arrest. A search of Alicia allegedly lead police to find her to be in possession of drug paraphernalia as well.

Both were arrested and transported to the station and later released in their own recognizance with tickets to appear in court at a later date.
