Police Seek Information in Attempted Kinnelon Burglary Friday

Police said a white or Hispanic male attempted to open car doors in a Kinnelon driveway.

are looking for information about an allegedly attempted car burglary on Parkside Lane Friday.

The owner of the home described a white or Hispanic male wearing a gray baseball cap and shorts attempted to open his car doors at about 5:10 a.m.

Police said the homeowner yelled at the male before the suspect ran to his own vehicle, described as an olive green SUV, possibly a Mitsubishi, and drove toward Kinnelon Road. The homeowner said the vehicle was parked at the end of the driveway while the male was attempting to open the car door.

Police searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle. Nothing was reported missing and both cars parked in the driveway were locked.
