Police to Collect Unwanted Medicine Saturday

Butler, Bloomingdale Police Departments to participate in 'Operation Take Back.'

During the event, residents can dispose of unused and expired medicine to law enforcement officials who will prevent them from being distributed or taken by people who they are not prescribed to. Butler police said those who drop off the medicine will remain entirely anonymous and no sensitive questions or identifying information will be asked.

The event is being held in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration, New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police, the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office and the New Jersey National Guard.
