Speed a Factor in Fayson Lakes Rollover Crash, Cops Say

Two local teens suffered minor injuries.

Kinnelon Police Lt. John Schwartz said speed appears to have been a factor in a rollover crash on Fayson Lakes Road Sunday night that left two teenagers with minor injuries.

According to Schwartz, the crash happened just before 9 p.m. near the intersection of Clubhouse Trail. The 17-year-old driver from Butler, who was not named because he is a juvenile, was allegedly speeding when the car, a Chevy four-door, rolled over. He and the car's passenger, a 17-year-old from Bloomingdale, were able to get out of the car and were standing on the side of the road when police officers arrived.

Schwartz said the teens had minor injuries to their hands which were treated by Tri-Boro First Aid Squad volunteers, but that both refused to be transported to the hospital.
