U.S. Marshals Assist With Lodi Man's Arrest

Detectives from the U.S. Marshall Service assisted Butler police with the arrest of a Lodi man allegedly in violation of parole on Wednesday.

According to Capt. Ciro Chimento of the Butler Police Department, Robert Thompson, 32, was under investigation for allegedly violating parole mandates. He was living in a Spring Street residence in Butler, Chimento said.

Butler Police Det. Colleen Pascale, officials from the state Parole Department and the U.S. Marshalls arrested Thompson on a warrant. Upon arresting Thompson, Chimento said his girlfriend, Ashley Homcy, 20, of Butler, was home and police learned she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest for $1,000 out of the Ringwood Municipal Court. Thompson was transported to the Bergen County Correctional Facility where he awaits a court appearance and Homcy was turned over to Ringwood police after she was unable to post bail, Chimento said.
