Woman Allegedly Drove Intoxicated to Police Station

Police said Pompton Plains woman appeared dazed when picking up report.

A 46-year-old Pompton Plains woman was charged with DWI after police said she was allegedly intoxicated at the station, where she drove to pick up a police report.

Maryann Tchejeyan was issued a summons for DWI after being examined by a drug recognition expert and released to a friend with a date to appear in court.

According to police, Tchejeyan was speaking to Ptl. Mark Ehrenburg and during the conversation, he allegedly noticed she appeared in a dazed state and had difficulty standing. Upon further questioning, police said they determined that Tchejeyan had driven to the police station and she was allegedly on several prescription medications but could not remember her dosages.

She was given several field sobriety tests, which police said she failed.
