Woman Was Allegedly Driving With Crushed Pill
Police said a Pennsylvania woman was found with a small amount of marijuana.
A Pennsylvania woman was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance Saturday after said they found a small amount of marijuana, a small scale and a crushed pill later identified as Suboxone in her vehicle.
In addition to the drug possession charges, Nadja Yacopino, 40, of Carbondale, PA, was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia and was issued summonses for having an improper muffler and driving with a suspended license.
Police said Ptl. Mark Ehrenburg was on patrol on Route 23 at 10:24 a.m. when he stopped a 1993 Jeep for having a loud muffler. When talking to the driver, Yacopino, police said Ptl. Ehrenburg had learned she allegedly had a suspended license and warrants out of Elmwood Park and West Milford.

Police then searched the vehicle and said they found the drugs.
Yacopino was arrested and transported to the Kinnelon police station. She was later released with a ticket to appear in court at a later date.
