Women With Warrants Arrested After Parking in Handicapped Spot

The following arrest information was supplied by the Butler Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Three women were arrested on warrants in Butler on Wednesday after they were all found in the same vehicle, occupying a marked handicapped spot without disabled license plates or placards, police said.

Tracy Ford, 47, of North Plainfield, had an outstanding warrant for her arrest from the North Plainfield Municipal Court for $1,000; Stephanie Cianflone, 27, of North Plainfield, had active arrest warrants from the North Plainfield and Watchung Municipal Courts totaling $719; and Jessica Jones, 26, of Keansburg, had an outstanding arrest warrant from the Monmouth County Superior Court.

Police said the three women, as well as a fourth person, were occupying a 1991 Toyota Corolla that was parked in a marked handicapped zone around midnight. When Ptl. Jarred Schmiedhauser requested the occupants’ credentials, police said he noticed a discrepancy amongst them and the information provided. Police said a routine records check revealed the warrants of the three women.
