2012 Tri-Boro Primary Election Guide

Times and locations for polling places, candidate profiles and more.

In the tri-boro's only contested election, voters will head to the polls on Tuesday to choose which candidates they would like to see on the ballot in the November general election for two Kinnelon Council seats.

Three candidates are running for incumbent Councilmen Andy San Filippo and Dan O'Dougherty's seats, all Republicans.

Despite which candidates receive the most votes in Tuesday's primary, the candidate with the least amount of votes does still have the opportunity to run as a write-in candidate on the November ballot. Voters will also have the opportunity to decide on county and state representation during Tuesday's election.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Kinnelon, and Bloomingdale. Kinnelon polling locations are: the Fayson Lakes Clubhouse, Kinnelon Municipal Building and  (depending on your district).

In , while , some voters may see the Primary Election as an indicator of who may be chosen to represent them on the Bloomingdale Council in the fall. Two Democrats and two Republicans are running for two open seats.

Republican candidates are:

  • Jo-Ann Pituch (incumbent)
  • Michele Siek

Democrat candidates are:

  • Michael Sondermeyer
  • Rich Dellaripa

Polling locations in Bloomingdale are:  the Bloomingdale Health Center (225 Union Avenue) and the Bloomingdale Fire Hall (depending on your district).

The and two incumbent Republican candidates will be running for re-election.

Those candidates are:

  • Robert Meier
  • Robert Fox

Voting takes place in Butler at the Carey Avenue firehouse.
