Amendment Establishes Times When Excessive Noise is Banned

Bloomingdale Council approved an amendment Tuesday establishing the times.

There are now clearly designated times when Bloomingdale residents will be prohibited from creating excess noise from power tools thanks to an ordinance amendment that the council approved Tuesday.

Noise from “construction, demolition and the use of power tolls and power equipment” is prohibited at the following times:

April 1 through Nov. 1: Monday through Friday: 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday 8 p.m. to 9 a.m.

Nov. 1 to April 1: Monday through Friday 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.

The council approved the amendment at a public meeting.
