Bloomingdale Moves Aug. 13 Primary Polling Locations

Districts 2, 3, 4 and 5 will vote at the Samuel R. Donald School on Aug. 13.

The Borough of Bloomingdale announced a change of locations for the special primary election held on Aug. 13.

The polling locations in Bloomingdale were moved since the Bloomingdale Fire Department already has the fire hall booked for an event on August 13, said Bloomingdale Deputy Clerk Terry Sauer.

District 1 will vote at the Health Center at Bloomingdale, located at 255 Union Avenue.

Districts 2, 3, 4 and 5 will vote at the Samuel R. Donald School, located at 29 Captolene Avenue.

Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie called for a special October 16 election to fill the U.S. Senate seat of Frank Lautenberg, who died on June 3.

The five-term senator succumbed to complications from viral pneumonia at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell, according to a statement released by his office.

Democratic primary candidates include Newark Mayor Cory Booker, state Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver and U.S. Reps. Rush Holt and Frank Pallone.

Republican primary candidates include Alieta Eck and Steven Lonegan.
