Bloomingdale Wants Flooding Mitigation Work to Move Ahead

Borough needs permits from the state to complete work.

Local officials are trying to work with the state to further flood mitigation efforts in Bloomingdale, NorthJersey.com reported.

Mayor Jonathan Dunleavy told the website that he feels confident that the borough would able to secure the 15 permits from the state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to complete the work. The DEP the requiring the borough to complete a hydrological study to determine if the town’s work with the Pequannock River would affect the waterway downstream.
