Butler Officials Consider Changing Parking Rules

Resident wants the borough to reduce the ban on street parking from November to April.

Butler officials may examine its overnight parking rules after a resident complained recently that they are creating problems for families who have more than one vehicle.

Stephen Rinaldi asked the council Sept. 17 to reducing the current ban on street parking, NorthJersey.com reported. The ban on street parking is in effect from Nov. 1 to mid April.

Bloomingdale will require residents to have a parking permit to park on borough streets beginning Nov. 1. The permit costs $120.

Families with more than one vehicle often park one of the vehicles on front lawns or sidewalks to avoid being fined, the website reported. This creates problems when they streets have to plowed when snow falls.
