Butler Road Paving Soon to Be Underway

Borough council approved spending an additional $50K on paving projects to take place over the next several weeks.

Several roads will be getting a facelift in the near future.

The borough council unanimously approved an ordinance Tuesday that will appropriate $50,000 for road improvements. Councilman Robert Fox said this would be added to $100,000 that is leftover from previous road improvement projects.

According to Borough Administrator James Lampmann, Bartholdi Avenue, from to the Mount Calvary Cemetery, will be milled and paved this week. Hasbrouck Avenue and Mabey Lane will also be milled and paved and, including Bartholdi, are finishing up a water main project on the streets.

Fox said that the borough would be meeting with the contactor to go over the milling and paving of Barthold Avenue by the end of the week. He said the . According to plans, the road will be milled on Thursday and paved on Friday.

While Fox said most of the work will be completed in the next several weeks, Scott Street and Lafayette Avenue will also be paved in early September.
