“As is township policy, to initiate the retirement, Kitchell had to write a letter to the mayor and council, and now it must be heard before a workshop and confirmed,” said Borough Clerk Mary O'Keefe.

The council will hold a workshop meeting on Tuesday, July 2 at 7 p.m. in the conference room of the municipal building.

The council is also set to discuss the United Way Municipal Housing Trust Funds, which stems from a letter sent out to all municipalities from United Way of Northern New Jersey, said O'Keefe.

An agenda is attached.
