Collins Honored by Freeholders for Open Space Work
Kinnelon mayor steps down from Morris County Open Space Trust Fund Committee.
Mayor Bob Collins was honored by the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders Monday for his achievements while serving as a representative and chairman of the Morris County Open Space Trust Fund Committee.
Collins will be stepping down from the committee on Dec. 31.
"During his three years on the commitee, 49 municipal and non-profit projects totaling 1,648 acres were preserved in Morris County with nearly $42 million in grant awards," the freeholders wrote in a resolution.

Collins reviewed 57 applications that came before the committee during his time on the committee and has made funding recommendations to the board.
