Councilman Slated to be Honored with Deputy Mayor Title

Daniel O'Doughterty to receive the title of deputy mayor for community and veterans affairs.

Kinnelon Councilman Daniel O'Dougherty is slated to receive the title of deputy mayor for community and veterans affairs.

The council will vote on a resolution bestowing O'Dougherty with the title, NorthJersey.com reported. 

O'Doughtery is a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8096. He helped get the Field of Freedom display at the municipal building on Memorial Day. 

If he is appointed, O'Doughtery will not supersede Council President Gary Moleta's authority nor will be serve as acting mayor if Robert Collins were to leave the office.
