DPW Worker Wanted in Butler

Borough looking to hire hardworking employee for several departments.

The Borough of Butler is looking for a new employee to join the Department of Public Works, Road and Water Departments.

A description of the job was posted on the borough website, calling for applicants to be able to perform snow plowing, shoveling, raking, installation and repair of water main and other tasks.

"Applicant must be hardworking, able to follow instructions and willing to work extended hours during times of emergency," the posting said.

Requirements also include a good driving record and although previous experience is not necessary, those interested should be willing to train in the areas of DPW work. The borough also warned that the job could entail long hours at times.

"Individual must be willing to work long hours in difficult weather conditions and be available for night and weekend callouts. Response time to after hours callouts is an important factor in the hiring process," the posting said.
