Tri-Boro Officals Share New Year's Resolutions

Local officials want community involvement, smooth winter.

Elected officials and community leaders in any municipality are bound to be exposed to a plethora of divergent issues, topics and concerns. With that in mind, Tri-boro Patch asked local officials in and for their New Year’s resolutions. Here's what they had to say:

“What I am hoping for is a safe and prosperous year for our borough. And it would be good if we had a mild winter. It would help us. And that everyone stays healthy throughout our whole borough.”--Butler Mayor Robert Alviene

“My New Year's Resolution is to spread my town spirit to every individual in Kinnelon. We need a community effort to combine all the enthusiasm of all the individual organizations in town to create one united Kinnelon with spirit to spare.”--Kinnelon Council President Jim Freda

"I am going to work harder at increasing community involvement and encouraging more public service."--Kinnelon Councilman Ron Mondello

“My New Year's Resolution as Mayor of the Borough of Bloomingdale is to bring the council together to stop the politics that has been stifling progress in town. We must unite to serve the borough in a non-partisan fashion so we can achieve progress towards a better Bloomingdale.”--Bloomingdale Mayor Jonathan Dunleavy
