Kinnelon will Look for Grant Opportunities in 2014

Borough council reorganizes for the year.

Kinnelon officials will look at any and all new grant opportunities the borough of could apply for this year.

Mayor Robert Collins spoke about that and thanked the borough council for its continued service, NorthJersey.com reported.

Councilman Gary Moleta was chosen to be the council president for 2014 at the borough’s reorganization meeting Jan. 2.

Councilman Daniel O’Dougherty said he did not think that merging the police department with another local department was a “dead issue” and that officials should keep an open mind regarding the matter.

Councilman James Freda, chairman of the council’s recreation committee, said that the recreation department would like to come up with more programs for non-athletes.
