Young Artists Honored for Representing Bloomingdale in Poster Contests

Mayor said borough is proud to be represented in contest.

The honored "three very talented fourth graders," in the words of Mayor Jonathan Dunleavy, Tuesday night for placing and participating in the 2012 Passaic County calendar poster contest.

Each fourth grader was called to the front of the council chambers and given a certificate of achievement. Lauren Lippi, Patrick Reyes and Jacob Tolentino, who took first place in the contest, were honored. Over 400 students from 15 schools in the county participated.

"We can't tell each of you enough how proud we are," Dunleavy said, adding that the borough was so pleased to be represented on the calendar with several months.

Dunleavy also said that this is the first time the borough has ever had representation through a first place winner.
