Aaron Decker Students Cheer on the Giants

Grade levels make banners in support of the Super Bowl team.

The showed their support for a football team that supported them last year when they celebrated "Go Blue Day" Friday in honor of the New York Giants playing in the Super Bowl.

According to Aaron Decker Principal Virginia Scala, the school was chosen by the Giants last year as the winner of the NFL Play 60 contest, which encourages students in different school districts to complete 60 minutes of physical activity per day. Scala said Giants runningback Brandon Jacobs spent a day with the students last year and the team awarded the school $10,000.

In support of the Giants playing in Sunday's Super Bowl, the students developed class cheers and created grade level banners on Friday. The school also kicked off their Jump Rope for Heart program and the Bouncing Bulldog Jump Rope Team from the school performed in an assembly.
