PTA to Host Special Meeting

Grecco announced that the Parent Teacher Association will host a special meeting about the upcoming PARCC assessments and new common core curriculum. The meeting will be held in the Walter T. Bergen Library Wednesday at 7 p.m.
PARCC stands for Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers. The consortium of 18 states is to develop a common set of assessments in English and math.

Bloomingdale students in fourth and sixth grades will be the first ones to take the electronic assessment. Students will use new laptops to complete the assessment.
