Butler High School Student Signs to Post University Baseball Team

Alex Wright's record-breaking high school career includes 107 hits and a 33-game hitting streak that started his sophomore year.

Alex Wright, a graduating senior in the Butler High School class of 2014, is going into his college career swinging.

Post University presented Wright with a full academic and athletic scholarship to the Connecticut school, where he will play on its baseball team.

Wright will begin at the university in August as a business major. He had a record-breaking baseball career at BHS and played as a starting varsity team member for all four years.

He currently boasts the record for second-most games played by a varsity baseball athlete, 107 career hits and a 33-game hitting streak that began his sophomore year and continued into his senior season.
