Butler Students Showcase Talents at Variety Show

Event helps fund arts scholarships for graduating seniors.

Butler High School held its annual Variety Show recently.

Students showcased their talents and skills in a variety of activities and performances.

Students sang, danced, played the guitar and piano, and read poetry they wrote.

The event raised money to help fund performing arts scholarships, which are awarded to graduating seniors who pursue a higher education in musical theater, acting, dancing, or the arts.

Kaitlyn Allison earned first place by singing “Don’t Rain on My Parade.” Nicholas Colavita palyed a guitar solo called “Ocean.”

Two students tied for third place. Emma Gilardi and Jess Reul performed “Cups” and Cassandrea Hilmer and Victoria Santiago performed a rendition of “Down” with vocals, a piano, and a guitar.

The cheerleading team was a Special Dedication and Spirit Award. Captains Marlana Tenned, Kelly Erekovanski and Casey Mefford accepted the award.
