Ethan Harriz Has a Passion for Teaching

Kinnelon-Butler Patch Whiz Kid of the Week: Ethan Harriz

• Accomplishment: Ethan had heard that the kindergarten classes at Stonybrook school were learning about shapes, and Ethan, on his own, took the initiative not only to draw a picture involving many shapes, but he then took it to one of the classes and spoke to the kindergarten teacher about helping her teach her class about shapes.  She invited him in during his class' snack time and he explained his picture to the kindergarten kids. His mom received a call from the school’s principal to tell her what a great job he did, not only taking the initiative, but also how good he was with the little ones. The teacher and the principal were so impressed with his teaching style, they invited him to do the same in the other two kindergarten classes. 
• Key To Awesomeness:  Ethan has always demonstrated interest, compassion, and kindness for younger kids and this is just another great example of him going out of his way to do it.
