Families Run in Kinnelon For 'Pot of Gold' Scholarships

The Kinnelon Education Association sponsored a 5K scholarship run Sunday to benefit high school seniors who participate in community service.

There may not have been actual gold at the end of the race, but Kinnelon families participated in a 5K run Sunday to benefit seniors who commit themselves to community service. Participants were asked to pay between $19 (for early birds) and $25 to participate, all of the proceeds going toward scholarships for the seniors.

The event, called the KEA Pot of Gold Scholarship 5K Run, was organized by the Kinnelon Education Association. Several Kinnelon roads were blocked off Sunday for the run, including Kinnelon Road and Kiel Avenue.
