Girl Scouts Unveil Bird Habitat

Troop 71146 developed bird habitat project at Walter T. Bergen Middle School themselves and created birdhouses and feeders.

Girl Scouts unveliled a bird habitat and feeding area at Walter T. Bergen Middle School in Bloomingdale recently. 

The troop completed the public service project for their Girl Scout Bronze Award.

The girls installed native plants, bird feeders, a birdbath, nesting boxes, and educational signs. They constructed many of the materials themselves.

The girls raised $800 from a special talent show they put on to help fund the project.
