Kiel School to Get New Principal

Ivonne Ciresi will begin working in the Kinnelon district in September.

After promoting Kiel School Principal Jodi Mulholland to be the district's new director of curriculum, instruction and assessment, the Kinnelon Public Schools Board of Education chose a new principal for the school at its July 25 meeting, according to a news report.

Ivonne Ciresi, formerly of the Livingston School District, will take on the position on Sept. 1, according to Suburban Trends. The school board approved her hire at a salary of $117,000, the newspaper reported.

Mulholland's appointment to her new position was voted on at the Kinnelon Public Schools Board of Education's June 27 meeting, according to the Suburban Trends. She will be replacing Interim Curriculum Director Ruth Anne Estler, who came to the school district from Parsippany after Diane DiGiuseppe was appointed interim superintendent.

Mulholland had served as principal for the Stonybrook School in addition to Kiel, but began working in Kinnelon as a part-time elementary specialist in 2004. She has also previously worked in Montville and Wyckoff and is an adjunct professor at William Paterson University and Walden University.

Ciresi began her career in education as a first grade teacher in Livingston before becoming a literacy coach in that district, the Trends reported.
