Much was new about the Kinnelon Board of Education Thursday as the board held its first work session meeting of the year.
For starters, two new members, Brian Davin and Mike Petruccelli, were named during roll call. Margaret Zybrick, a 10-year member of the board and past president, was not in attendance, and Steven Fink served his first meeting as her successor in the role of board president.
Board Member Katie Stylianou was sworn in Thursday night after being re-elected to her seat. The two new board members were sworn in during the reorganization meeting on Jan. 3.

After seeking clarification on the process, the board selected a new vice president. Members voted unanimously in favor of Marianne DeAlessi.
The board also voted to approve the 2013 calendar of meetings. Meetings will be held on the following dates in 2013:
