Kinnelon High Evacuated After Fire Alarm Was Pulled

Pulled fire alarm prompts activation of emergency plan.

Kinnelon High School was evacuated this morning after a fire alarm was pulled by a student in the school, district administrators said.

Administrators sent a message to district parents through the Textcaster system explaining that the school was evacuated at 8:30 a.m. as part of the emergency plan.

"This was not a drill and by following our established emergency protocol and camera system, we found that the alarm was pulled by a student," the district said.
