Kinnelon Natives Win CPA Scholarships

Stephen Scorzo and Joseph Vargo were among about 80 New Jersey students to win scholarships from the New Jersey Society of CPAs.

Two residents of Kinnelon recently won scholarships from the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Joseph Vargo and Stephen Scorzo were among about 80 New Jersians to win $465,000 in scholarships from the NJSCPA.

Vargo is a junior at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Scorzo is a junior at Ramapo College.

Both were honored at an awards ceremony held Thursday at the Woodbridge Renaissance Hotel

The scholarships are given to encourage a new generation of students to become certified public accountants.
