Kinnelon Students Experience Drunk Driving in Simulated Vehicle

High school students experience the effects of driving drunk.

students got to experience the effects of drunk driving firsthand Tuesday as students were able to drive the Safety Bug, a vehicle in which the front passenger is able to take away control from the person driving.

The students participated during physical education classes, driving the Safety Bug and practicing simple tasks, such as walking in a straight line and playing catch with a ball, wearing drunk goggles so that they could see the effects of consuming alcohol. The program was sponsored by KAMELOT, Kinnelon's municipal drug alliance.
