Olympic Gold Medalist Speaks to Butler High School Students

Donna Weinbrecht spoke to students about achieving their dreams and her own path to success.

Students at Butler High School were inspired and awed by the speech of Donna Weinbrecht, an Olympic gold skier, and how up close they got with a real gold medal.

Weinbrecht, a medalist from the 1992 Olympics and native of New Jersey, spoke to the students as part of Butler's freshman experience class. She talked to students about achieving their dreams and how her passion for skiing put her on the road to success.

She told students to not allow injuries or vices impede on their dreams, and related to them her own story of her road to Olympic victory.

Students got to speak personally with Weinbrecht after the speech, hold her medal and pose for photos.
