SAT Scores Improve in Kinnelon, Butler Scores Remain Constant

New Jersey Department of Education releases school report cards.

According to information from the New Jersey Department of Education released Thursday, Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) results have remained fairly constant at  between the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 school years but improved at  for the 2010-2011 school year.

Butler High School SAT scores in math increased to an average of 499 but remained flat at 498 in the verbal section and decreased slightly to 493 in the essay portion. The graduation rate for the Class of 2011 was 93.46 percent.

At Kinnelon High School, SAT scores saw a slight increase in math, with the average score going from 557 to 575. In the verbal section, scores increased in Kinnelon to an average of 543 and on the essay section, the average score increased to 545. However, Kinnelon High School's graduation rate slightly decreased from 100 percent in 2010 to 98.9 percent for the Class of 2011.
