Butler Girls Basketball Looks to Improve on Last Season

With a good core of seniors, Bulldogs seek a chance in the post-season.

As the weather gets colder, the varsity teams move indoors for competition. Tri-Boro Patch will be previewing teams as they prepare to compete this season. Here's a look at the Butler High School girls basketball team:

OVERVIEW

The Bulldogs had a tough season in 2011 and are looking to take advantage of a good senior class to improve on their 7-16 season.

KEEP YOUR EYE ON

Maja Sekulovska, junior guard - Sekulovksa is a scoring threat and a solid defender.

THEY WILL MISS

Kim Lapenta - Last season's starting point guard, Lapenta will be sorely missed from the line up. She is not playing in college.

Kelly Taggart - Taggart averaged 15 points per game last year and her scoring will be hard to replace. She is not playing in college.

CAPTAINS

The captains for the 2012 Bulldogs will be Filomena Martini and Mikayla Mulligan.
