Walter T. Bergen Graduates Class of 2013

Walter T. Bergen graduated 76 students during the at the 41st graduation ceremony on Wednesday, June 19.

Walter T. Bergen Middle School in Bloomingdale graduated 76 eight grade students during its 41st graduation ceremony on Wednesday, June 19.

The ceremony kicked-off with a performance of the National Anthem by eight grade band members under the direction of Mrs. C. Lehman.

Sean Scott and David Synol led the graduates and the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance. The Welcoming Address was given by Kaitlyn Smits and Erica Steenstra.

Graduation speeches were given by Jonathan Cozzino, Albert Gessner and Malak Dwaidari. Veronica Jakubowski and Kelly Sondermeyer presented the class gift.

Liam Klingman and MacKenn Bross presented the yearbook, “Glenwild Echoes,” which was dedicated to Mrs. Carol Aitken, who retired after many years of teaching in the Bloomingdale School District.

Frank Verducci, the principal of Walter T. Bergen School and Frank Buglione, Interim Superintendent of Schools, addressed the graduates before Mrs. L. Grecco, President of the Board of Education, presented the diplomas to the students.

After receiving their diplomas, the graduates sang “Time of Your Life.”

School officials give a special thank you to the Class of 2013 Parent Committee for all their time and effort.
