Who's Your Favorite Teacher?

Patch wants to know which tri-boro educator made the most impact on you or your kids.

For some, it's "the most wonderful time of the year," and for others it means a fun-filled summer has come to an end.

It's back to school season, and parents, teachers and students alike are all focused on making the next 180 learning days the best possible for all involved If there's one thing they all have in common, though, it's that one teacher (or multiple) that stood out and made a difference in his or her life.

Maybe it's the gym teacher that taught you how to push yourself and work hard physically; maybe it's the math or science teacher that made lessons so fun you actually paid attention. Or maybe it's a school administrator that helped guide you in the right direction during your formative years.

Whichever it is, tell us about them here on Tri-Boro Patch. Share in the comments section who made that positive impact on you or your kids as students and why.

Mrs. Tutunjian is the best teacher in my eyes..always cheerful, friendly, attentive to each of her students' needs, willing to go the extra mile to ensure each of her students leave her classroom with the education they need and the desire to follow their dreams. She recognizes her students' strengths and weaknesses. Next would be Karen Stern and Robin Vetter of the Child Study Teams who listen, observe and truly care about the students they represent. For many years I thought I'd lose my daughter to the unthinkable, but the dedication of these three ladies saved my daughters' life.
