WTB Students to 'Stand Up' Against Bullying

Bloomingdale Municipal Drug Alliance receives grant to bring anti-bullying presentation to the borough.

The Walter T. Bergen School will host a special anti-bullying program, "Stand Up, Step In, Stop Bullying," open to local students and their parents, on April 4 at 7 p.m

The program features David Jack, an award-winning recording artist who incorporates music into his anti-bullying assemblies.

The Bloomingdale Municipal Drug Alliance received a grant to bring the program, which has become a nationally-known assembly, to the borough.

All students will receive two tickets to the event and students who wish to receive more can request to be put on a waiting list for additional tickets. Beginning Monday, the additional tickets will be issued to students as available on the list.

Immediately following the performance, a basketball game, WTB's All-Stars vs. Bloomingdale's Bravest & Finest, will be held. Ticketholders can attend both events and those who attend the "Stand Up, Step In, Stop Bullying" performance will be entered into a drawing for a free-throw shot at half-time.
